Plettenberg Bay Accommodation

One of the places in the beautiful South Africa which will captivate you is undoubtedly Plettenberg Bay. Walking along the white sandy beaches for hours, will let the busy city life roll of you like water. In your mind you will feel as if you are walking on a lost island with no one in sight for kilometers.

Because of the fact that the wind does not blow as much in Plettenberg Bay as along other parts of the Garden Route, Plett is considered as one of the better weather-wise towns in the Western Cape. Combine that with the 300 days of perfect weather per year and you have found yourself the best holiday spot in South Africa.

In Plettenberg Bay Whale watching is most probably one of the greatest tourist attractions. While you stroll along the white beaches of Robberg you can see these huge mammals just a few meters away. The whales come to Plettenberg Bay every year during the summer months to raise their calves.

One of the things that make the Robberg Nature Reserve in Plettenberg Bay great is when you stand on one of Africa’s most southern tips overlooking the great ocean. Leaving just a pool of white foam as the gigantic waves splashes against the giant rock formations. You sometime wonder what life is all about.

Plettenberg Bay Accommodation might be difficult to find especially over the high season in December to February. Many visitors from across South Africa and also foreign visitors come to plett every year. Plettenberg Bay is not called the Jewel of the Garden Route without reason.

Whether you want a Private Residence, Self Catering Unit or Guest House, Plettenberg Bay is the place to be. You wont necessary find all the locals there over the December holidays as they sometimes flee and rent their properties to the thousand of visitors for December and January.

Wake up to the red skies of a beautiful sunrise over the mountains and you will find yourself wanting to come back every year for more. Have your camera ready because you would like to take the memory back home with you. These scenes still captivates me every time I see it.

Once upon a time the Elephants roamed the lush indigenous forests surrounding Plettenberg Bay and I am sure that if you would stand still long enough with your eyes closed, you will still hear them. Maybe you will expect to see a fairy pop out somewhere. The indigenous forests are worth visiting
