What is the demand for civil engineers?

What can I do after graduation … if I don’t want to code?
After graduation, you can get a job or go to grad school. Jobs in the industry aren’t all coding and cubicles. You have other options such as consulting, web development, software engineering, software architect (upper level design), and much more. Check out what’s available in the Career Center. To find out if you want to do research, try doing some research with a professor.

Should I jump ship or hang in there?
Hi. I am a second year doctoral student in communication. Ever since I began doctoral study I was uncertain that I was making the right choice and now, as I enter the middle of my second year, I am still uncertain. For me the issue is really an economic one. Will I make my money back by getting a PhD? As each semester goes by it becomes harder and harder to quit cause I’ve invested more and more into it.In his January State of the Union address, Clinton proclaimed, “Our economic program has helped to produce the lowest core inflation and the lowest interest rates in 20 years. Auto sales are way up, home sales at a record high; millions of Americans have refinanced their homes.” In a Jan. 3 television interview, Reich predicted that 1994 will be a banner year.

I can’t stand my 200-level courses, how is it like after 200-level courses?
The 200 level courses give you the fundamentals such as programming skills, understanding of data structures, etc. that you need to do the fun stuff in CS. After the 200 level courses, you’ll be ready to take the skills you learned to do the fun stuff in computer science according to your own interests. You’ll also find it easier to get jobs where you do practical and interesting work where your knowledge can be applied.The Sawyer Library has a “proprietors” (also know as a “shareholder”) membership to The Boston Athenaeum, left to us in the estate of Phillip Putnam Chase in 1979. The first thing is to contact your professor and ask him for financial support.

Will I be allowed to work in the USA?
Unfortunately, IDEA can not arrange jobs for the participants of the program. You will be bound to the rules for international students regarding part-time jobs: the F-1 student visa allows you to work no more than 20 hours per week on campus.
