Get the Family Involved and Clean Now
It’s been drummed into our heads that we are supposed to clean up the yard just when everything is starting to grow again after a hard winter. It makes no since at all. Cleaning a yard should be done in the fall.
Why not go ahead and get it done? You have to pick up leaves anyway so you just might as well just go ahead and do it. Get out there and rake and pick up everything in and around the yard. You’ll be glad you did once spring comes back around next year.
You already know the dreaded storage box move is right around the corner. It happens this time every year. It starts with Halloween decorations, then Thanksgiving, followed by Christmas, Hanukah and other celebrations and ends with the New Year. It makes since to get ready for it while you can when there’s no rush.
It’s usually during the time where you’re trying to get everything moved around and packed up and organized that you realize you need more space. Some people break down and buy that shed they’ve needed for years while others go rent a space thinking they will figure it out later. If you can stuff even more in a garage or basement, now would be the time.
It’s the time of year when the weather is enjoyable and tolerable. It’s also a great project to get your entire family involved. Get everyone off the computers and away from the TV and teach your kids to work with you. Who knows, you may learn something new about them by working with them.
Of course, you may want to get as far away from your family as possible and this could be just the project to do it. There is peace found in silence and good work. At least that’s what I’ve been told. Either way, it will be finished.
