Weight Loss Tips and Strategies For Fast Results

People starting a new diet will always look at dramatically reducing the amount and types of food they eat.

This can be a solution but it is in no way the best solution for you. In fact, all depending on how much you reduce your calorie intake, it could be extremely dangerous for you long term health.

So how do you lose weight effectively and safely? Here are some points you must consider when trying to lose weight:

Just Say “No” To Crash Diets. Most people think that trimming down the calories alone will shed off their unwanted excess fat. This is due to the current fad there is in product advertising. We are bombarded, each day, with adverts telling us that low-calorie foods and diets are the solution to everything.

So, it just seems to make sense that the lower the calories the better the diet. Wrong.

People on a diet should understand that this is very dangerous because when they drop their calorie intake too far below the required levels, their body will begin digesting body fats.

Now, this sounds like it should be perfect, but it actually is not. Burning fat needs lots of energy. On an ultra-low calorie diet there is not much energy in the body to facilitate metabolism of fat and it will therefore run at a very slow pace - resulting in serious issues. Fatigue, dizziness, illness and a weak immune system are amongst these serious symptoms. This is definitely not what you want.

A very low-calorie diet is also compensated for, by the body, by burning muscle. People on this type of diet not only feel unhealthy they also, almost always, revert back to their old eating habits and end up gaining back the weight. And what is worse, they usually gain more weight back.

This weight gain would consist mainly of fats. And since fats have more volume per mass than muscle, they end up having the same weight as before but more bulkier. When losing weight, you should keep in mind that you should lose excess body fats only.

The first weight loss tip and strategy is for you to eat small meals at more frequent intervals. In this way your body will not think you are starving and shut down. Keeping your metabolic rate high is the correct weight loss strategy.

The correct foods are essential. You know that crash dieting is wrong for a weight loss strategy but you should be careful what you are eating. Variety of foods is essential so you can get the balanced nutrients from the diet plan you are on.

Another effective weight lose tip that is also very healthy is to eat food that is roasted, steamed or broiled. Do not eat fried food as it always contains more unnecessary calories. It is also imperative to include fiber in your diet to keep your system functioning correctly. Frequent water - roughly 8 medium glasses a day - will help keep your body healthy.

Time to pump up that lean muscle mass. Muscles burn calories and unwanted fats when they work; they even do so at rest. Unlike fats that lie around making us unhealthy, muscles burn calories 24 hours a day. The more muscles you make the less fat will be left. By far the best way to do this is with simple resistance exercises - even with very little weight.

Engaging in Aerobics. Aerobics are not only good for the heart, by increasing cardio-vascular endurance they also help in increasing lean muscle mass while simultaneously decreasing excess body fat. Aside from these, aerobics make the metabolic process more efficient and working at a higher rate - even after a long while.

Eating the right food and performing the right exercise will have you burning fat efficiently while driving along the freeway or even while watching television.

Those diet pills and getting that “extra push”. There are some that believe that smoking and drinking caffeine can actually help in their weight loss plan. This may be somewhat true; however, they do much more harm than good because of their side-effects. Also, there are many varieties of diet pills and supplements on the market. Having tried many of them, I cannot recommend them.

Losing weight does not have to mean personal suffering. It really just means opening oneself up to a healthier life where you will look, feel and actually are healthier and more attractive.

Losing weight might entail little adjustments plus the discomforts, but as the old saying goes, “no pain, no gain.” Take the initiative from these weight loss tips and strategies and you will be starting out the right way.
