Fasting cleanses the body of all the embedded waste matter, removes the deep-rooted toxins and gives rest to the different organs of the body. To begin fasting, eat only raw vegetables or fruits. Do not take more than four to five glasses of liquid diet a day. Take only fresh lime with honey or plain water. Never begin or end fasting suddenly. For the next four to five days take only raw or boiled vegetables. Over a period of ten days you can come back to your original cereal diet. Apart from dieting, many of the ailments such as acne and pimples, rheumatism, asthma, ulcers, alcoholism, heart disease and many more disorders are cured.

Healthy eating pyramid -Follow ‘healthy eating pyramid’ guidelines, which recommends that between 35 and 40% of your diet should come from whole grains like cereals and brown bread, rice, vegetables, fruits, beans etc. Lean meat , egg , fish etc should form 15 to 25% of your daily intake, followed by about 10 to 15% of dairy products Added fats, oils and sweets should be no more than 5%.

The optimum diet plan :- Overeating is a cumulative process and weight gain is the result. What you eat in a day or even a week won’t make much difference, but over a year you will misjudge your food intake.

We should limit fatty or sweet foods to only 7 percent of the plate and concentrate on balanced diet. Although sugar is thought to be bad, we still need it as an immediate source of energy. Just remember to keep it in moderation.

You didn’t put on extra weight overnight so it is not a realistic goal to take it off quickly. Record a goal that you can reach in one month that is 4 to 8 pounds less than you weigh now and begin losing weight steadily and slowly.
